Training

St Vincent’s Healthcare have a team of trainers who work on the major National Programme for IT projects. The trainers come from an NHS background some with clinical experience and others with strong IT expertise. Our team was formed with a vision to support the various Acute, Mental Health, Primary Care Trusts as well as GP practices with their National IT roll-outs and complement the Trusts’ existing training teams. The trainers can get involved at different stages of your projects; by providing assistance in testing, localizing training materials, delivering end user training, cascading training to Trust trainers or by customizing training courses to meet your specific requirements.

Any of our trainers can be deployed on site a contract basis, long term basis or even on an short-term period to cover for staff annual sickness or in the instances of sickness cover.
The St Vincent’s Healthcare trainer’s skills range from the RiO Community and Mental Health systems, TPP GP, Community and Prison systems, EMIS/ Vision to the huge PAS system roll-outs such as Cerner R0, LC0, LC1 and iSoft iPM.

Go Live and Post Go Live Support

At St Vincent’s Healthcare, we understand the mounting pressures involved in IT roll-outs and we have a dedicated team of floorwalkers who can support you throughout the whole period.

Indeed, as the major IT systems go live across the Trusts and PCTs, we recommend that additional support is provided on site to end users who will be using the new system to perform their routine jobs. It is important that staff/ end users feel confident and positive about the system at this stage of the project. At St Vincent’s Healthcare, we provide experienced floorwalkers to trusts during the cut over period and for a period of time until the trust is ready to commence business as usual.

These floorwalkers who are mainly experienced trainers are familiar with the level of support which is needed at the point of switching off the old system and switching on the new system. They have extensive experience in Cerner Millenium, CRS projects, a specific functionality and some experience of workflows and process mappings.
All of our floorwalkers have worked through major CRS roll-outs and go-lives and are familiar with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Management Structure. A manager is also provided on site to manage the floorwalkers and ensure that everything is reported to the appropriate zone managers. All floorwalkers are aware that it is critical to ensure that end users are trained or given the relevant support according to the trust’s policies, guidelines and workflows. These trainers are skilled in providing one to one support as well as classroom coaching/ training.
During the go-live period, St Vincents Healthcare are able to provide data entry and data migration staff to ensure that all relevant data is migrated in time and that no duplication is carried forward to the new system.
Helpdesk support staff are sometimes required at post go-live, again we would assist trusts with experienced helpdesk support staff should they be required.
